Saturday saw us entertain our friends from Brackley.  The afternoon was sunny, but with a lovely breeze which made the conditions ideal, but it was decided we would play the game over 14 ends.  It was a good result for us and we won handsomely 58-37.

After 6 ends the score was level at 5 shots each, but we then took control and went on to win quite comfortably 18-10.

After 6 ends we trailed 3-5, but this was the only time the opposition had the lead but Dave's rink won 6 of the remaining 8 ends to come home winners 14-10.

This game ebbed and flowed throughout and with 2 ends to play Chris's rink led 8-6, but unfortunately they lost the last 2 ends and went down by 1 shot 8-9.

Skiddy's rink had the game well under control from the off and after 4 ends were leading 10-0 and with 2 ends to play led 18-4, but I think they took pity on the opposition letting them win the last 2 ends, and came away victorious 18-8.

 

 

 

It was nice to see Pat back on the rink and hopefully we will see her a lot more during the season.  I am sure the opposition will want their revenge and it is only 2 weeks before we have the return fixture.  Thanks to Dave for looking after the bar and as usual to Skiddy and Maggie for setting up the club house before the game.
