A short hop to Banbury saw us take on The Chestnuts and it proved a successful evening despite the threatening clouds.  The game was truncated to 14 ends as the light was not too good and we won by 5 - 0 on ends and by 26 points 73 - 47.  The previous game on 12th May saw us victorious 92 - 57.

Tina Timms, Mick Wilkins and Bryan Ogilvie were never troubled and a five and a four early on saw them home by 9 points 17 - 8.

Cliff Hall, Pete Griffin and Chris Skidmore took nine of the ends which included a couple of threes to cross the line 13 - 6.

Tony Bird, Richard Lawrence and Mick Jelfs only took 6 ends but two fours and a five gave them victory 17 - 12.

John Timms, Terri Gold and Chris Twomey were in an extremely tight game and were drawing 8 points all after the penultimate end but the final delivery of the game saw them pinch a single to win 9 - 8.

Dave Drinkwater, Peter Wells and Dave Bryant romped away to a 12 point lead after seven ends, but their hosts staged a comeback including a six which was not enough, so we claimed a victory 17 - 13.
